Trailer Park Boys Information

Canadian Comedy Mockumentary series, Trailer Park Boys, ended in 2007. The show is about a cast living everyday life in a trailer park, called Sunnyvale Trailer Park based in Nova Scotia. The first episode of season one aired on April 22, 2001.

Episode plots involve the characters Ricky (Rob Wells), Julian (John Paul Trembaly), and Bubbles (Mike Smith), and their attempts to get rich, high, and to stay out of jail. Their enemies are the trailer park’s supervisor Jim Lahey (John Dunsworth) and his assistant, Randy (Patrick Roach). On every season finale, the show would end looking like the men were successful, but by the first episode of the next season, things will have somehow turned wrong again.

The characters each have a distinctive trait and the characters are followed around as though they are starring in a real-life documentary. The main characters will perform live in character, and have done so with Our Lady Peace and Guns ‘N Roses.

The show has extended from Canada, airing in the U.S. and spots in Europe and Australia. The first film, Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, was released in October 2006 and sparked interest in the show in the U.S. In September 2009, the second film, Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor, came out in theatres and started where the series finale left off.

They had a one-hour televised special in 2008 and in 2009 toured in a variety show in character throughout Canada. The main trio of Wells, Tremblay, and Smith began a second show, Showcases in 2011. The trio are currently touring the U.S.
