The Fray Information

These days you can hear The Fray on almost any channel you turn your television to. Their single "How to Save a Life" is playing on shows and commercials such as Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, One Tree Hill, NCIS and HBO. The band from Denver-Isaac Slade and Joe King- worked hard to have their music marketed to such a wide audience.

Starting off, the Fray had their share of self produced EP's and small bar gigs. The friends began playing in 2002 and only two years later, they were signed to their first label, Epic Records. Building their national audience by touring with Weezer and Ben Folds, they were able to headline their first tour in 2005.

2006 was the biggest year thus far for The Fray. They were downloaded over one million times in one month on Their album "How to Save a Life" became the best selling digital record of all time on iTunes and went double platinum. The album featured the songs "Over My Head (Cable Car)" and "How to Save a Life." Both singles were able to surpass the top 10 rank on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

The Fray finished recording their second album in July of 2008 for a February 3, 2009 release. Their single "You Found Me" raced up the charts and has been featured in the T.V. shows Greys Anatomy and Lost. The Fray toured the U.S. and also released an Christmas EP towards the end of the year.

In 2011, they announced a third album, Scars and Stories, which was released on February 7, 2012. Singles off the new album include “Heartbeat” and “Run For Your Life.” In support of the album, the Fray kicked off a U.S. headlining tour on February 11 in Los Angeles.
