Seton Hall Pirates Information
The Seton Hall Pirates compete in the NCAA Division 1 Big East Conference. The school featured their first basketball team in 1903, which serves as the premiere sport for the college. Their basketball program won the National Invitation Tournament in 1953 and lost in the finals of the 1989 NCAA Tournament to Michigan 80-79 in O.T. Seton Hall also has been able to field teams in Baseball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Diving, Tennis, Track & Field, and Volleyball. Until Pirates Football was cut in 1982 the team competed in the Division III level.
