Philadelphia Eagles Information

The Philadelphia Eagles are members of the East Division of the NFC. The team was established in 1933 as a replacement for the Frankford Yellow Jackets who went bankrupt. They have always been members of the NFL. Their home games are played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Eagles have not had the most successful history, winning only three NFL titles and losing in both the two of their Super Bowl appearances. They have, however, had twenty-three playoff appearances, won eleven Division Championships and three Conference Championships.

Last season the 2011 Philadelphia Eagles had high hopes for making it to the Super Bowl but failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Their record of 8-8 in the regular season placed them second in the NFC East. This year they hope to regain playoff contention. Their most valuable players include quarterback Michael Vick, cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, defensive end Trent Cole, linebacker DeMeco Ryans, wide receiver DeSean Jackson and running back LeSean McCoy.
