Jay Mohr Information
Jay Mohr is an actor and stand-up comedian best known for his roles on TV shows like The Ghost Whisperer, Gary Unmarried, two seasons on Saturday Night Live, and for his role in the film Jerry Maguire.
He starred on Saturday Night Live during the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons, but left the show because he wanted more responsibilities. Mohr created, hosted, and produced Last Comic Standing on NBC for three seasons. Other TV shows he has been on include, Family Guy, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Scrubs, Monk, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, and Surburgatory. His filmography includes titles such as, Picture Perfect, Pay It Forward, Are We There Yet?, Street Kings, and Hereafter.
On the radio, Mohr is a frequent guest on The Jim Rome Show under the nickname, â€œ Slam Man.â€ He also calls in on the Opie and Anthony Show. He hosts his own podcast, Mohr Stories, on the SModcast Podcast Network. He has written two books, 2004â€™s Gasping For Airtime: Two Years in the Trenches of Saturday Night Live and 2010â€™s No Wonder My Parents Drank: Tales From A Stand-Up Dad. He also blogs on Bravoâ€™s website, recapping and expressing his opinion for the channelâ€™s popular Real Housewives of New Jersey series.
Mohr is scheduled to perform at Bostonâ€™s Wilbur Theatre on November 2, 2012.
