Harvard Crimson Information
The Harvard Crimson compete in NCAA Division I. Harvard, being an Ivy League university, does not offer athletic scholarships, but still manages to have 41 Division I intercollegiate varsity sports teams for men and women. This is more than any other NCAA Division I college in the country.
The Crimson has won 12 national championships in men's football, 6 in golf, 1 in women's lacrosse, 4 in men's soccer, 1 in men's ice hockey, and 3 in men's individual wrestling. Harvard's men's ice hockey team has the archrival of the Cornell Big Red but the intense athletic rivalry across all sports is with Yale University. This culminates in "The Game," the much anticipated football game played at the end of the season.
