Crowded House Information
Crowded House, formed in 1985, is an Australian rock band, earning most of their success from Australian and New Zealand fans. Their self titled first album, Crowded House, peaked at #12 on the US Billboard 200 in 1987 and provided the Top Ten hits, "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strongâ€. The second phase of international success was experienced in Europe with their third and fourth albums, Woodface and Together Alone and compilation album, Recurring Dream which included the hits "Fall at Your Feet", "Weather with You" and "Not the Girl You Think You Are".
Active from ’85 to ’96, the band parted ways for over a decade only to reform in 2006 after the public suicide of member Paul Hester, with a new drummer. At this time they recorded Time on Earth and played a reunion show at that year’s Coachella festival. With an expected release time of this summer, Crowded House’s sixth studio album, tentatively titled Intriguer also marks the start of a European and American promotional tour. In order to appeal to more intimate fan bases, the band has been trying to interact with fans on their website and social networks to shape their shows according to the wish of their audience. Crowded House will be at the House of Blues July 17th.
