Chris Cagle Information

Chris Cagle is an American country music artist. Cagle was born in Louisiana. When he was four, he moved to Texas and his parents raised him there. Cagle shortly enrolled in the University of Texas Arlington but dropped out to pursue a music career. Thereafter, he moved to Nashville where he spent a great deal of his time broke and working odd jobs to get by. While waiting tables, Cagle met a series of important people. For example, he met the legendary Harlan Howard who published one of Cagle’s first songs. Consequentially, Cagle was able to earn a publishing deal and David Kersh recorded some of his songs. Finally, Cagle met the assistant of the President of Virgin Records (Nashville), Scott Hendricks who signed him to the label. Cagle’s major single was “My Love Goes On and On” in 2000. His debut album, Play It Loud (2000), is certified gold.
